I like Bob Barr, enough to say that i am considering a vote for him in the upcoming election. This guy seems like he has more balls than the other three canidates combined.(This is including Hillary Clintons massive Huevo's)

I can equate all of these things to one simple thing- Bob Barr gives a damn. I think this guy really wants to do some political good instead of just being the next name in a long list in the national archive.

Bob Barr is good on the issues to me and i'll tell you why. I hate socialists. Give me the name of a capitalist country that became totalitarian. Your rights begin with the free market, and this guy is completely right (to me) about what we should be doing for America's economy.

Here is what Bob-o says on government spending on his website:

Government spending at all levels is out of control. Most Americans understand the problem of “earmarks,” commonly used by pork-minded congressmen to buy votes. But while earmarks are an outrageous abuse of the taxpayer’s money, they account for a very small percentage of federal spending. Over the past decade, total government spending (state, local and federal) has increased from $2.9 trillion to an astonishing $5.1 trillion in 2008. The $3.1 trillion federal budget submitted by President Bush for next year was greater than the combined 1998 spending of the federal government, all 50 states and over 87,000 local governments.

The federal government must take the lead in making significant cuts in spending. Focusing on earmarks risks distracting attention from the broader problem of a government wildly wasting the money of hard-working Americans. Tens of billions of dollars in corporate welfare — essentially aid to dependent corporations — should be eliminated. Largesse for middle- and upper-income Americans, particularly so-called “entitlement” programs, must be cut. Billions in so-called defense spending, which protects America’s populous, prosperous allies rather than Americans, must be eliminated.

Cutting spending would allow America to implement real tax reform. Our goal should be to reduce both the tax burden on Americans and the intrusion in their lives resulting from IRS enforcement of the income tax. One of the best approaches would be to adopt some form of a consumption tax, like a national sales tax, replacing the Internal Revenue Service and all federal income taxes as well as payroll taxes.

It is not enough to eliminate the income tax. We also must repeal the 16th amendment, which authorizes Congress to levy an income tax. Without doing so, there would be an ever-present danger that a future Congress would attempt to bring back the income tax on top of the Fair Tax or any other alternative to the income tax.

Bet no one read that. Anyway, its good shit. Plus he's pro-life and against the nanny state, guess what, ME TOO.

Why the Yankees Blow

I love the yankees. Alot. Like I'd go gay for them, not an individual but for them as a whole. Which in my eyes is slightly less gay. Dont judge me. But this year, like most years in this stupid decade, we are screwing up the first half of the season because Alex Rodriguez cant tell his dick from his batting helmet.

I dont get it. You'd think that i'd be happy with .288 average and seven homers and 21 RBI's, and i would be, if this was April 25th. A-Rod hit 14 homers in the month of May last year, i creamed my jeans, literally, i bought new pants. It was amazing I couldv'e danced in the streets i thought the time had come that this SOB would finally stop being such a pussy and blaming it all on the pressure of NYC baseball.

You want to know the cure for NYC baseball pressure. 100 million dallors. Boom, you should be cured. No more freakin excuses. I expect a super hero performance for that kind of money, that and a HJ every tuesday afternoon. It should be expected, and is. When Melky Cabrera is one homer back from you, you got ISSUES.

Anyway the end result of all this is that the cubs are better than the yankees at the moment. But must i say it? 26...26 world championships. 2....2 world championships. 8....8 years wait. 100..100 year wait. Two to three generations have passed since they won something. Some one should look into that.

Why
M.R. is Pro-Life

Ok. Focus. Quick Opinion on a Huge Subject.

I've been reading few books lately on the philisophical debate on abortion. Not the christian debate, the philisophical debate. There is a difference, the Christian debate is easily refuted with the simple claim "Not everyone is a christian!". And there you have it, your an idiot, dont push your religious agenda on others.

Here's the thing, I beleive that it is impossible to say that a fetus isn't a living being. It grows. Period. Tell me somethign that isn't alive that grows. Coral? alive. Chia Pet? Mostly alive. Tree? Pretty Much Alive. Zygote? Definetly alive. As far as i know, no one will say that a tree isn't "Alive".

Ok. So from there you see that a sapling tree is growing but it is ok to cut it down. Why? Because when the full potential of growth is realized the tree is unable to think or move. Big surprise huh? You already knew that, but with that reasoning I say that since a fetus becomes a human being then it has the full rights guarunteed to it by our Constitution.

Go further into it. On the same premise that a liberal fights for a Homosexual mans rights to marry the one he loves you can say being born is a right.  The Declaration of Independence says that we are entitled to three inalienable rights, "Life, LIberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." On that premise once we are a fetus we are entitled to grow and be born as a sovereign being.  To deny life to anyone of any age is to deny a civil liberty, something the ACLU doesn't seem to get.

If you are truly pro-choice than you would not be apposed to the belief that once a child is born you would have up to two years after the baby is born to kill it at your own discretion. The theory is that the infant is not self-aware and that until it is so has not obtained personhood. The infant is indeed a member of the human species but not a person and therefore rights are not applicable.

If you truly supported the foundations of abortion than you should have no problem with the euthanizing of a mentally handicapped person. Using the guidlines set from such philosophers as Peter Singer, the chair of Ethics at Princeton, the handicapped person has no self-awareness and there-fore has no right to live.

You might say that thats ridiculous but still maintain that abortion should be legal because the act of birth itself is where personhood is attained. But with that thinking you are only saying the infant is a person because it is cute and cuddly. And cute and cuddly does not make you a person. Some (sighting the bible no less) believe that it is the first breath taken by a infant that instills them with a soul and therefore person hood. My question of that account is that if a premature infant is on a respirator till its lungs are strong enough to handle breathing on its own, is it ethical to kill the infant then? I dont think so.

Abortion devalues human life, when you make life expendable it cheapens life. Life is the first inalienable right endowed by our creator. Where the hell is the ACLU when they are actually needed?

Hey any Iowans, I'm volunteering for this guy Steve Rathje. Just look at that smile, he'll instill fear into the hearts of the liberals that are ruining our country. Here is a press release I got, read through it and see what you support of his.

Steve Rathje Talking Points;

Steve is a life long Iowan and successful businessman from Cedar Rapids.

He is married with 4 children and 6 grandchildren.

His company “International Procurement Services, Inc.” (IPS, Inc.), founded in 1992, was originally formed to assist the manufacturing industry in obtaining machined, fabricated and casting components necessary for manufacturing their machinery.

His company has been successful in reducing cost (30-500%) and improving the quality and delivery of the items he furnishes his customers.

Steve’s corporate principles are simple and straight forward.

  1. Provide customers with quality and value while striving to significantly reducing costs.

  2. Identify those components being manufactured in other countries and locate American sources with the ability to provide them domestically.

  3. Work with American companies specifically Iowans to keep good paying manufacturing jobs from leaving our country.

Steve believes in making a commitment instead of offering promises that may or may not be able to be kept.

He’s committed to;

Representing the people of Iowa and America to the absolute best of his ability.

Defending our nation, its constitution, its people and our way of life

Protecting the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman only.

Protecting the life in that of the unborn.

Protecting our children and grandchildren from sexual predators that prey on their defenseless innocence.

Defending God’s name in our Constitution, schools, Pledge of Allegiance, currency and daily lives.

Supporting education, but at a state level where it belongs.

Defending our Nations borders from any and all illegal entry.

Steve is not against LEGAL immigration, but is against ILLEGAL immigration of any kind and WILL NOT support amnesty.

Steve is a born again Christian that believes the hard fought freedoms we daily enjoy are a blessing to each and every one of us.  He is one that daily gives thanks for all the blessings in life he’s received and now wants to thank the country he loves so much.

Steve needs your help!

He needs your voice, your prayers, and your strong continued financial support to combat the special interests groups like moveon.org that are amassing a huge war-chest, not just to defeat him, but all of Iowa as well.

God I’m sick of Clinton worship. Really I mean it; it’s as if since eight years have passed since the end of his “reign” as President his hero worship among liberals has grown incrementally to the point where he seems like an American hero. Granted, his past actions over the last couple of months during his electio- er I mean his wife’s election campaign has decreased his status but make no mistake there are still millions of Americans who miss his glory days, Most of them are casting their votes to make sure he is just down the hall of the oval office for another term or two.
I got started thinking about this because of the incessant and undying love given to him by the one and only Herring. Now I could understand where he was coming from. He watches Keith Olbermann and with all the garbage that comes out of the mouth of that idiot it is impossible not to think the world was better off before Georgie-boy got in office.
A well loved phrase by the Liberal Left is that thousands of Americans have been dying in the unjust war created by the Bush Administration. I want to make something clear, war blows, bet you knew that, but if you look at the god damn reality of all of this you might understand that maybe, JUST FUCKING MAYBE, there was some reason we went there. Some reason that persuaded many high profile Democrats in congress to vote for it and maybe just some reason that perhaps, JUST PERHAPS, that in the long run we will understand that helping an impoverished, oppressed people overthrow a tyrant and help them establish a democracy might help them.
But hey who ever listens to the guy who supports a war, it makes you a fascist and a neo-con and a rapist…I think. I get tired of all the thousands of lovely names given to people like me who support our troops.
P.S. Saying you support our troops and don’t support their actions is BULLSHIT. Almost every soldier in the United States Army that is serving in Iraq right now signed a contract after the war began to continue or begin service. They knew what they were getting into and they understand the duties that they are carrying out.
But let’s start with another fun fact. I said recently to a liberal friend that over the past seven years we have been kept relatively safe in the continental U.S. from Islamo-facist or as I put it “Say Georgie Boy Kept you safe!” and he replied gently with “I’m sure he did, that’s why 9-11 happened.” So I ran with that thought and went back to the Administration that is constantly seen with a back lighted halo. What happened in 1993? The first world trade center bombings. How about in 1998? Two U.S. embassies were bombed in Africa. Who did these things? Al Qaida and Usama Bin Laden who promptly declared a holy war upon America.
Another fun fact during the Clinton Administration is that well over a year before 9/11 the CIA had found Bin Laden at his camp with Predator drones close enough to see his security detail, his height and the reverence given to him by his followers. My question is if we could get this fucking close how come we couldn’t have sent in a strike force or hell even just bombed the damn camp? Bin Laden was perhaps the most wanted man in the world and we did nothing to stop him then, letting him commit his atrocious acts on American soil. Maybe it was because his administration was already weakened by his immoral acts and his felonious perjury that asking congress or just ordering the damn attack might have mad him look even worse.
Another fun thing is that the Clinton Administration was offered Bin Laden on a God Damn Platter by the Sudanese President who offered detention and Extradition of Usama to the United States but a failure to act by the Administration led to him getting away yet again.
Clinton had his good points but the resounding factor is that he wasn’t all that great a president. Hope you read it and enjoyed.

Alright, I’m going to put this in a way that even fuck-tard liberals can understand. I feel like the Republicans are the un-cool dad that no one really likes until their forty and understand that the lessons learned actually made sense. I’ll break it down even more. When your kid says “Daddy, I want a Pony!”, the uncool dad says “No, we can’t afford it. We need to make sure we can handle things like the mortgage first.”. What does liberal dad do? “HELL YEAH YOU CAN HAVE A PONY!, INFACT PONIES FOR EVERYONE! ITS YOUR RIGHT AS AN AMERICAN. FUCK THE MORTGAGE WE’LL JUST TAKE THE MONEY FROM YOUR WEALTHY UNCLE WHO EARNES TO MUCH TO PAY FOR IT. WHO DOESN’T WANT A PONY ANYWAY?!?!?! CANADIANS ALL HAVE PONIES AND THEIR LIVES ARE PERFECT NOW!!!”

I don’t want a pony. I really don’t want a fucking pony.

Liberals love bitching about the state of the economy saying its all Georgie boy’s fault. And what’s their plan for fixing the future? WHO CARES!! As long as every American who doesn’t have a job is entitled to yet another thing paid for in full by people just above the poverty line.

WE SHOULD JUST TAX THE RICH!!! Look I’m going to be real honest with you. These people pay 34-40 % of their money to taxes anyway. People forget constantly that big business is people. Who works for these companies? Middle income workers. Most without college educations. So should definitely tax them MORE so that they can’t afford to pay these workers anymore, forcing these people into poverty and putting an even greater strain on the government making us have to tax big business even more which will make them fire more people…. And so on and so forth. Big Business owners and workers are not all rich, they too were once poor but succeeded in life, and now since they did too well for themselves, need to be punished severely.

WE ARE NOT A SOCIALIST NATION!! Socialism and Communism DO NOT WORK. It will never work. Get off your high horse and try to understand that the only thing that has brought America to the Fore Front of the world is being a Capitalist state. Take a look at the pilgrims for example. Here’s a little known fact. The pilgrims were supposed to be socialists. These people had a contract with their sponsors from London. It was that each member on the community was to put whatever they produced into a common store and that each member was entitled to one common share. As well all land and houses also belonged to the community. William Bradford, leader of the pilgrims and governor of the colony found something interesting. Bradford found that the most creative and industrious people had no incentive to work any harder than anyone else, they had no personal motivation. So what did he do, he unbridled the power of free enterprise and permitted each family to own their farm and to market its own crops and products. IF IT DIDN’T WORK FOR 50 PILGRIMS HOW THE HELL WILL IT FOR 300 MILLION PEOPLE.

I never ever, ever said that the health care system was perfect. I said I was against nation health care. That is a bad plan, and one more step towards become a socialist state. Yeah I said it. The liberals need to get on the back of the blue dog democrats and republicans. We need to reform the tax code for a standard deduction for health care, much like a dependent deductions that are standard. We should also implement and enforce the Affordable Choices initiative. It is a program that will help make basic private health insurance easier to afford and will also provide additional help to those who cannot afford insurance.

Listen to me, You don’t need the government to run your live. Reagan said it, “We are a nation that has a government, not the other way around!”. Remember that.

I cannot believe that their is such a push for this crap called a national health care plan.  Can anyone name one, just one government program that has been successful in fixing the problem that it was made to fix?

Welfare is broken along with social security. Do you really want the government to control how much funding you get for your cancer recovery?

"Just look at how it works in countries with Universal Health Care, and you can't deny it's a much better system than we have here."

Really? Have you ever gone to England?
Have you ever sat in an office at a National Care Clinic? Obviously not. It takes hours to get served, you never see the same doctor twice and you get preferential treatment if your a private patient, money talks-nobody walks.

Who is not getting treated? YOU CAN NOT BE DENIED TREATMENT DUE TO NOT HAVING INSURANCE, its on a plaque in every emergency room in the country. Go look.

How will this be paid for. OUR MONEY. So we should raise taxes? How else will we pay for this? What makes you think that if a person can't afford a simple emergency room fee that can afford even more of their hard earned money being removed from their pay checks?

We will lose almost all ability as a patient to have elective surgeries covered by our insurance. Why? Because the government will be the decider. I can understand that those who choose plastic surgery, like breast enlargement, under this plan should pay for it themselves, what I don't want is some one telling me that after I've had my face smashed in an accident that my crooked nose is considered cosmetic and won't be covered making me pay thousands out of pocket so that I can lead a normal life.

If you want hand outs go to a non profit organization, don't tax Americans even more for something they can do better themselves.

I'm going to tell you right now I love baseball to the core. I'll sit for hours in the summer and watch my Yankees whoop up on the rest of the American league, but something I can't watch are some pointy nosed Congressmen belly aching about steroids in baseball.

One thing I really wanted to point out is that this trainer called Mcnamee, who's the one who claims to have penetrated another mans bum with his needle, has said he has saved some bloody gauze and needles from the injections.

DOES ANYONE THROW ANYTHING AWAY ANYMORE?

My girl calls me a pack rat but when i cut my knee i throw the band aid away afterwards. If that band aid could have someday put another man in prison one day and he goes free because of it , so be it. Thats nasty, and all credibility should be taken from him for being gross. I wonder where he kept it, in my head its a cigar box on his mantle with the words "Clemens Ass Blood" neatly embroidered on the front.

I'm going to ask this question to see where everyone else stands on it. Would you rather see Barry Bonds hit 30 homers in a three week span or see Kevin Millwood pitch one more...boring....change up ridden game.

Since The Herring has finally come out of the closet and admitted himself as a fanatical communist, I apologize to the world for not seeing it sooner. i should have seen the signs my friends, oh yes, their were signs.
I should have seen the tattoo's of Fidel Castro over each nipple on Herrings body as a sign, or maybe I should have noticed that every night he lit candles under a large gold embossed picture of Karl Marx. Further still i probably should have made an inquiry to why he slept with a copy of the Communist Manifesto underneath his pillow....hmmm.
Either way my friends their is no greater time to fear THE HERRING then there is now, but I promise....I'll knife that bitch soon.

Fine Herring, way to go in boring every single reader by listing the same three words over: American Physical Society, Society of American Physicality. I get ya. You had one mistake though herring, you said the Canadian and Meterological and oceanographic society. Herring, come on, CANADA? YOU REALLY WANT ME TO BELIEVE SOMETHING THAT CANADIANS BELIEVE IN. Good Try but nope i'd rather believe the 19,000 scientists who have signed this letter of petition for the University of Oregon.

Global Warming is Retarded

I want you to tell me right now that the tempature of the world has not changed over  its entire history, right now, do it, i dare you. I bring up this point because i miss my testicles my friends. I miss them, they've been hiding inside my body from the cold for a month now. WHERE THE HELL IS GLOBAL WARMING WHEN I NEED IT.

Why do you believe global warming is real? i really wanna know. Is it because Al gore said so? See if that was the kind of reasoning that liberals would use to back up their claims then i would be all for it. Hell if Carl Rove told me that my microwave was killing kittens i get those fuckers banned in an instant. I like kittens, deal with it.

I also want someone to write in and tell me why the earths climate has changed from temperate with the dinosaurs to an ice age back to temperate again. Is it because the mammoths were driving hummers and warmed the world up enough to melt the ice? I think so.

Why Global Warming Is Retarded

According to the U.N., their has been no trosopheric warming. Look it up.

Their has been a half degree of celsius swing which is in the norm.

Unanimous claims in the scientific community are constantly refuted.

Global warming is just the newest environmental trend since Global cooling in the 70's.

Antarctica is Getting Colder.

Look it up.

Don't blame those 'greedy' oil companies

As you fill your tank for your next summer trek, consider what stands in the way of a lot of domestic oil development: Congress.

As you fill your gas tank for your next summer trip, ask yourself how gas prices have reached current nosebleed levels. For many, the easy answer is to curse the "greedy" oil companies. Consider for a moment an alternative reason.

Oil is a commodity and therefore is subject to the laws of supply and demand. In the simplest of terms, when demand begins to put pressure on supply, prices go up; simple Econ 101. In a supply-and-demand situation, there are really only two options; lower demand or increase supply. I don't anticipate that the demand for oil will decrease, as Americans love their cars and love to drive. This leaves us with increasing the supply.

I know there are other fuel and energy alternatives, but none are mature enough or as readily accessible as oil and its byproducts at the present time. They may be in the future, but that doesn't help us out at the gas pump today. While research and development of fuel and energy alternatives will and must go forward, the supply of oil in the interim can be increased and America has vast resources that can be tapped into today.

Blocked in D.C.

Investors Business Daily estimates there are 1 trillion barrels of oil trapped in shale in the U.S. and Canada. Retrieving just a 10th of it would quadruple our current oil reserves. There is a pool of oil in the Gulf of Mexico that is estimated to be as large as any in the Middle East. There is an equally large pool believed to be in Alaska.

The Chinese are attempting to tap into the Gulf oil supply by drilling diagonally from Cuba. I wonder what environmental safeguards they are using?

The fact is that there are environmentally safe methods of extracting oil from shale and drilling in both the Gulf and Alaska. Congress, however, continues to block these efforts. Just last week, the Senate voted to block any extraction from shale in Colorado. In essence, they voted to make your trips to the gas station more expensive, to make air travel more expensive, and to make heating your home more expensive.

That's something to think about in an election year.

Another topic: Social Security

Another issue that concerns many Americans these days is the sustainability of major entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare. With all of Congress' talk about "saving and preserving" these programs, consider these facts about Social Security:

When Social Security (FICA) was introduced it was promised:

  • Participation in the program would be completely voluntary.

  • Participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the program.

  • The money the participants elected to put into the program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year.

  • The money the participants put into the independent trust fund rather than into the general operating fund, would be used only to fund Social Security, and no other government program.

  • Payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.

The millions who have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and who then find they are getting taxed on 85% of the money they gave to the federal government to save for them -- may be interested in the following:

  • Social Security money has been removed from the trust fund and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it.

  • The income tax deduction for Social Security withholding has been eliminated.

  • Social Security annuities are now taxed.

Now contrast this with the fact that, after violating the original contract, the Congress passed a 100% retirement benefit for members who have served at least one term.

As President Ford said, "A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

So instead of spending countless hours agonizing over which candidate to pull the lever for in November, you might be better served by asking your representatives and senators this question: Mr. or Mrs. Senator/Congressman: you are making a claim on what I have produced, which is to say you are asking me to serve you. How have you served me?

BU
LLETIN:
AL GORE TO BE SUED BY FOUNDER OF THE WEATHER CHANNEL FOR FRAUD!!!!

THIS IS WHY I HATE THE BULLSHIT THAT IS GLOBAL WARMING. THIS CRAP WILL COST US MORE THAN ANY WAR AND IT'S ALL JUST A HOAX.

Recent Greenhouse "Wisdom" from the Pages of the Medical Journal of Australia

Volume 11, Number 11: 12 March 2008

AL GORE TO BE SUED BY FOUNDER OF THE WEATHER CHANNEL FOR

Noting that every newborn baby "represents a potent source of greenhouse gas emissions," Walters (2007), who is an associate professor of obstetric medicine at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth, suggests there should be a Baby Levy in the form of a carbon tax, whereby "every family choosing to have more than a defined number of children [which he intimates should be two] should be charged a carbon tax that would fund the planting of enough trees to offset the carbon cost generated by a new human being."

How large should such a tax be? Walters calculates that for Australia "each child born should be offset by planting 4 hectares of trees, to allow for the time they take to reach maturity, and attrition through crop losses, bushfires, dieback and so on," which he says "infers a levy per child of at least $5,000 at birth (to purchase the land needed and plant trees) and an annual tax of $400-$800 thereafter for the life of the child (for maintenance of the afforestation project)," which fees he bases on 1990 figures, leading him to suggest that they would be "probably much more now." By the same reasoning, he additionally envisions carbon credits for the users and prescribers of, among other things, "condoms and sterilization procedures," which would lead to "rewards for family planning clinics and hospitals that provide such greenhouse-friendly services."

Also writing in the Medical Journal of Australia, Egger (2007), who is director of the Centre for Health Promotion and Research in Sydney, touts a personal carbon trading scheme, the plan of which is to allocate to every individual in the world an equal number of tradeable energy units per year, based on a budget which is set by "a central budgetary council." The trading of such units would be conducted either through existing credit cards or through "a carbon card system administered by banks." Under this system, as he describes it, "individuals who are left with carbon credits (i.e., those who are frugal with non-renewable energy use) are then able to sell these back into the marketplace, thereby gaining financial benefit," while "those who overuse their quota pay a premium price for extra energy use," with unused units being "retired, with a view to contraction of the total energy budget to a sustainable level."

And you thought a simple gas tax was a little much! Welcome to the brave new world of Al Gore and James Hansen.
